Day 01: Arrival Yangon: A one hour morning flight to the Burmese capital. You will be met at the airport with a garland of flowers by our local guide, who will take care of everything from now on. You will be brought by minibus/bus to the hotel. If your arrival is in the morning, they will get to know our capital on the city tour in the afternoon. Then, shortly before sunset, the world-famous Shwe Dagon Pagoda with its 109 meter high solid gold stupa will glitter in the soft light of late afternoon. This golden stupa has become the symbol of our capital. Overnight.
            
A Boat Ride into the Past
Day 02: Excursion to Twante: Beginning in the early morning, You will take the river ship to the delta of the Ayeyarwady (= Elephant River). You will see old junks on the Twante Canal and the everyday activities of fishermen and farmers along the shore. In Twante, known in Lower Burma for its weaving and pottery, you will take a horse-drawn carriage or a bicycle rickshaw on bumpy roads to the large pagoda, to weaving mills and brick works. In this community, time seems to stand still, and the Asia of earlier centuries becomes alive. Return to Yangon in the middle of the afternoon. If you have not been on a city tour in Yangon yet, we will provide this after arrival from Twante. Overnight.

Day 03: Yangon Bagan: Early morning a 70 minutes flight to Bagan, the first and most beautiful capital of the Burmese, founded in the eleventh century by a great king. Along with Angkor in Cambodia, this is the most important temple and Pagoda complex in Asia. An all-day visit to this huge area - a day full of culture. However, we will avoid hectic tourism and will show you the most beautiful representatives, leisurely and in detail. Early morning, stroll through the marketplace of Nyaung U, and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of our people. Continue your visit to Shwezigon Pagoda where they can inspire the four-meter high bronze
standing Buddha at the four cardinal points. Visit Kyansitttha Umin, Gubyaukgyi Temple in Wetkyi-In and enjoy the frescoes of scenes from the jatakas. And ends the morning sightseeing with Htilominlo Temple .
After lunch, the sightseeing starts with the Southeast of Bagan tour including Dhamma-Yan-Gyi Temple, a much more massive looking temple in Bagan, Sulamani Temple known as the " Crowning jewel" stands beyond the Dhamma-Yan-Gyi Temple and Paya-Thone-Zu group. Overnight.

Day 04: Bagan: In the morning, you will stroll through the marketplace of Nyaung U, and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of our people. You will then admire the Ananda Temple, whose interior seems almost Gothic, and you will surely be impressed by a particularly beautiful Buddha made of copper bronze, ancient wall murals in the meditation chamber, the stupa of the river pagoda shining in the sunlight ...Full day sightseeing.

To the Olympia of the Deities
Day 05: Bagan Popa Mandalay: The excursion through the sun-parched plain with Palmyra palms to the Mountain of the Deities, Popa, begins in the morning. There you will climb on a staircase the mountain with its shrines to the deities and its Buddha temples. Finally, back to Bagan and a short late-after-noon �hop� by plane to Mandalay, capital of the Konbaung Dynasty, which capitulated to the British colonial rulers in the last century. Overnight.


The City of Kings
Day 06: Mandalay: In the morning after breakfast, a 30 minute �hop� by plane to Mandalay, where the Konbaung kings resided and eventually capitulated to the British. The sightseeing program will begin directly after arrival with the golden monastery Shwe Nandaw.
The Kuthodaw Pagoda is the Marble Buddha with 729 marble slabs on which are inscribed the entire Buddhist cannon, the Mahamuni Temple with the famous Arakan Buddha of pure gold. In the late afternoon we will begin the short excursion to Amarapura, a former Kingdom of the Burmese. Take a walk over the famous teak wood bridge U Bein, and you will experience the sunset from a hill overlooking the Sagaing meditation center. Overnight.

On the Elephant River
Day 07: Excursion to Mingun-Sagaing: Today, you will travel for quite a few hours in a relatively large ship along Burma�s main river, the Ayeyarwady, which has its source in the Himalayas. They will reach Mingun in the morning; here a mighty king wanted to build the largest pagoda in the world. The ruins marking his failure, however, are impressive enough in them-selves; the cast of the largest ringing bell in the world was a success. Things become calm and the ship flows slowly downriver toward Amarapura, an old temple city. At sunset you will climb up to a pagoda overlooking the meditation center of Sagaing - an unforgettable experience! Early evening return to Mandalay by bus. Overnight.

Shan Plateau
Day 08: Mandalay Heho Taunggyi Nyaungshwe: The flight from the plain of Ayeyarwady to the Shan Plateau takes only 30 minutes. The Shan are a Thai ethnic group in Myanmar. You will see different styles of Buddhist pagodas and can stroll through the market of Taunggyi, where they might encounter mountain peoples in their native dress. Late afternoon continuation drive to Nyaungshwe at Inle Lake. Overnight.

Day 09: Inle Lake-Pindaya: The clients spend the morning in small boats on Lake Inle. They can admire the fishermen of the Intha tribe rowing with their legs, the pagoda on an artificial island in the lake, the floating gardens and they can visit the floating market. In the afternoon, the landscape is especially beautiful on the overland route to Pindaya. Underway, you will see members of the Pao people, the friendly �dragon people� with turquoise turbans and black native dress. Overnight.

Day 10: Pindaya Heho Yangon Bago: Visit to the famous Buddhist cult caves of Pindaya in which believers have been placing Buddha figures as sacrificial offerings for centuries. A rapturous experience in the circles of light from the flashlights. Return to Heho and in the afternoon a one hour flight to Yangon. Direct from the airport, you will travel to Bago/Pegu and on the way visit the four monumental Buddhas of the Kyaukpun Pagoda. Overnight. 
To the Golden Rock
Day 11: To Kyaik Htiyo: Today you will travel through the delta and over the Sittang river to Kyaik-Htiyo. From Kinpun the pilgrimage road runs 10 kilometers to the pagoda on the famous Golden Rock in 1200 meter altitude.. You will be transported on a truck to a camp from which it is only approximately a one hour hiking to the Golden Rock. (Note: for guests who are older or weaker there are carriers who, for a fee, will bring them to their destination in bamboo chairs). At the summit, a simple but romantic and beautifully located hotel awaits the clients. (Important note: not all rooms have hot running water).

Return to the Capital
Day 12: Kyaik Htiyo Bago Yangon: Start of the return hike in the early morning and then truck transport to Kinpun and overland back to Yangon, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Noon stop at Bago, where you will be brought to most important sights of this old capital of the Mon people. Visite Shwemawdaw Pagoda and the reclining Buddha Shwetarlyaung. Then in Yangon: If you have not seen Shwe Dagon Pagoda yet, we will provide this tour highlight on this day. Overnight.
To Rakhine
Day 13: Yangon Thandwe: Depending on the day of the week (Wednesday/ Friday/ Sunday), you will fly in the morning to Thandwe (formerly Sandoway) on the Bay of Bengal. A short ride along the coast to Ngapali and its golden beach. Overnight.

Day 14: At the Sea: Rest and relaxation at the seaside. Overnight.
