SAFARI CRUISER KIRIS
FACT SHEET
The newly
built motorized Safari Cruiser “Kiris” is a sturdy wooden structure
combining traditional Maldivian boat building with modern engineering.
Most of the interior dcor and furnishing in the vessel are handcrafted.
This luxury cruiser offers you the cruise of a lifetime, gently
traversing the clear lagoons and blue seas of the Maldives. Imagine
yourself, with a glass of wine, relaxing on the sundeck of this
magnificent vessel, basking in the warm glow of the setting tropical
sun, with kaleidoscopic colour on the horizon.
Kiris Safari Cruiser offers you a relaxing cruise with locally built
luxury safari Cruiser to ex-perience the breathtaking views and scenery
in Maldivian sea life to enjoy your holiday with sea and sand and
nature. Our Kiris have been planned with both the restless and
adventurous as well as the person getting away from a hectic lifestyle
for peace and quiet in mind. You could either surf, snorkel or dive, or
if you would rather a slower pace, simply relax in the tranquil setting
of calm and peaceful sea or lagoon, with just dolphins and a variety of
tropical fish for company, or maybe you would rather just dip the line
and break the record in fishing…night fishing, big game or simply
trawling.
The crew we have chosen are experienced and well versed in catering to
your needs - e.g. have them prepared very specialty dishes or an epicure
meal of fish, tuna and barracuda steaks complimented with salads and
fresh fruits, a favourite among many. Or if you would rather,
continental dishes are also available, with a choice of liquor, beers
and wines.
The cruisers will normally anchor at a resort island for the night,
except otherwise requested.
Tour
Each tour begins in Male', the capital, and covers two or three atolls
or more depending on the duration. The cruising is done during the
daylight hours, passing by palm-fringed islands set over sugar-white
sand beaches and turquoise lagoons. Normally the vessel is anchored in
calm water by sunset, sometimes near an uninhabited island or a deserted
sand bank, sometimes near an inhabited island, affording our guests an
opportunity to witness the local arts, crafts and singing and dancing
called boduberu. Barbeque on a deserted island is an enchanting
experience. The water temperature pleasantly varies between 83 and 86
degrees Fahrenheit (28-30 Celsius). The air temperature averages 86F
(30C).
Routing
Our
standard tours are 11 days/ 10 nights (9 diving days). One route we
follow covering the best dive sites in South Male', Felidhu and Ari
Atolls, some of them absolutely world class, is pictured here. Other
routes are available. Details on request. Itineraries too can be
supplied on request.
