1 The Boat Newly built and completed on 03rd September 1998. It has the biggest cabins that you may find in the Maldivian Safari Boats. Discovery 1 will accommodate you 1 Triple Cabin, 2 Cabins with large double bed and with one single bunk on top, 1 Honeymoon Suite. 1 Double cabin and 6 large Twin cabins. They are all roomy with individual bathroom with hot & cold water, dressing tables and entertainment console and fitted with individual air conditioning controls.
For a little romance during the sunset or for relaxed and quiet situations DISCOVERY 1 offers three the large, marvelous sundecks. Cruising through the different atolls, visiting uninhabited and local, fishing islands and enjoying a few evenings on different tourist resorts gives the DISCOVERY 1 guests and explorers a feeling of a total Maldives. Separate Diving Dhoani, especially built for comfort and efficiency diving accompanies the safari boat, takes our divers to the different dive sites. All the equipment, tanks and specially the compressors shall be housed on the Dhoani, in order to avoid noise for the guests on the mother boat. All dives are made from this Dhoani. Our experience diving crew and the diving instructor will make the DISCOVERY 1 Safari cruise a safe and spectacular diving-adventure. Rental of diving equipment on request. The Maldives Islands (Over 1192) boast some of the most spectacular diving spots in the world. Colourful coral gardens, underwater overhangs and caves teeming with all varieties of tropical fishes, eels, Manta rays. Sea turtles and Sharks offer diving enthusiasts as well as novice (beginner) divers thrills and sights of a lifetime, In fact TIME Magazine describes Maldivian seas as 'Where even the Sharks are friendly..". Activities There will be opportunities to visit tourist resorts inhabited islands (fishing villages) and choices from hundreds of uninhabited tropical islands. Milky-white beaches surround lush tropical vegetation in all shades of green in every island of this archipelago. Uninhabited islands are popular with honeymooners and couples who would like a Robinson Crusoe adventure all on their own. Bonfire Beach BBQ's (Bar-be-queues) will be arranged on uninhabited islands. The clients would enjoy the thousands of stars surrounding various sizes of crescent moons and special full moon events would be arranged for those who are lucky to be with us during the middle of the lunar month. The guests are welcome to join our crew for daytime fishing. Day time trolling and sports fishing on Maldivian seas reward even the most inexperienced fishermen (and fisher-women) with catches of all varieties of tuna, jacks, rainbow runners and even bigger ones such as Wahoos, Marlins, Sail-Fish, Yellow Fin and Big-Eyed Tunas. Night fishing can also be arranged and is much fun, fishing off popularly known spots for Red Snappers, Groupers, barracudas and other delicious reef and white-meat fishes. The captain and crew would be most happy to cook, roast or even barbecue fishes caught by the clients. Non dives will have unlimited possibilities to snorkel any number of tropical reefs surround the numerous islands on the boat-route. Routes Discovery 1 itineraries arc always weather condition and the duration of stay dependent, the choice of dive sites can be influenced by seasonal marine migrations. In one week, safaris generally tend to visit sites on both North and South Male' Atoll together with the excellent diving available around Ari Atoll.
