The Dutch House has 4 luxury suites that combine absolute grandeur with the utmost comfort, filled with colonial an- tiques. Each bedroom is fully air conditioned with 4 poster beds, luxurious silk drapes, The bedrooms lead into a sitting room which contains comfortable sofas and writing desks with views over the magnificent Galle Fort, the croquet lawn or a private garden. Spacious bathrooms are fitted with fine showers and traditional claw-footed bath tubs which add to the colonial atmosphere.

The V.O.C.
Named after the Dutch East India Company this exquisite suite opens onto the central courtyard & large sweeping verandah with views across the croquet lawn. A true sense of luxury.
The Blue Room

Facilities:
Spacious living areas, an English tropical garden complete with croquet lawn and treetop infinity pool provides ample space for guests to find a quiet area in which to truly un-wind. The breakfast is at any time. There are no time constraints and guests can leisurely enjoy a delicious English breakfast served in the courtyard, verandah or in the garden. Light lunches and snacks are served throughout the day in the garden, by the pool or in your room. Dinner is served at the next door sister property The Sun House which is renowned for some of the best food in Sri Lanka. The dinner menu changes daily with a starter, main course and a choice of three delicious desserts.

Sports & Recreation:
Nice freshwater swimming pool with deck chairs and sunshades, visits to Galle and its surroundigs can be arranged by the hotel staff. |

Activity:
The Dutch House is within walking distance of the centre of Galle and the Galle Fort. Walking around the Fort is the best way to soak in its history and to explore the narrow streets, laneways and historic ramparts. Also available is our restored vintage Rover. |

Remarks:
The Dutch House is at 4 hour drive south from the international airport or at 3 hours drive from Colombo. Rather than travelling by road why not transfer directly from your international flight onto Sri Lankan Airlines Air Taxi and arrive at Koggala airport in 30 mins from which it is only at 15 mins drive to The Dutch House. It is the ideal way to travel in style, comfort and luxury at an affordable price.
