After the one-hour flight from Bangkok with Bangkok Airways, you'll reach Thailand's third largest island, Koh Samui. For many years it was one of the most popular destinations for Bag packers, because of the unspoiled long sandy beaches. This "coconut island" got it's own charm, a mixture of easy travelers atmosphere, traditional Thai-styled bungalow resorts as well a high-range luxurious hotels. While on Lamai and Chaweng Beach live goes wild, especially Maenam Beach still offer you the quiet and origin flair of the Island.

About Samui in brief:

One of Thailand's most popular holiday destinations is KOH SAMUI, which can easily be reached by an 80 minute flight from Bangkok, operated up to 10 times daily by BANGKOK AIRWAYS. The island was discovered in the 1970ies by the international backpack community and has preserved it's unique natural charm until today.
There is tropical ambience all around. All shades of green prevail. The special Samui flair is attracting many visitors who return again and again...

The most popular beaches are LAMAI and CHAWENG. There are lagoons, waterfalls and stunning rock formations. Symbol of the island is the BIG GOLDEN BUDDHA who watches the times go by in peaceful elegance. Many of the locals are fishermen or work in the coconut industry.  Aireal view from Chaweng Beach

And they have fantastic names, as well: Broken Stone, Rhinoceros, Sleeping Cow, Praying Monk, Dreaming Virgin and Monkey head, for example.
This trip goes right into mother nature's heart, with blue lagoons, white sands
and emerald lakes. In the evenings, some of the hotels offer traditional performances during dinner time.
