Built in 2005 and named after the American designer who once lived at The Sun House, the Dumas suite comprises of a separate living area, a contemporary spacious bathroom and private balcony. Fully air-conditioned.The Cinnamon Suite Described by Conde Nast Traveller as “the most beautiful room in the world.” Occupying the entire first floor of The Sun House this room is cooled by sea breezes, mountain air and colonial ceiling fans. The room is complete with its own library, sitting room and both an indoor and out door bathroom. The sitting room offers a spectacular sunrise over the distant hills and coconut jungle. Facilities:
The Sun House is well known for its fine dining, its privacy, its eclectic collection of artwork, books and furniture. The dinner menu changes daily with a starter, main course and a choice of three delicious desserts. The cuisine is predominantly seafood with influences from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia and the Mediterranean. Our chefs are equally at home making some of the most delicious & innovative Sri Lankan curries, string hoppers and sambals.
For those wanting a hearty start to the day, there is choice of an English or Sri Lankan breakfast. Delicious light lunches & snacks are also served through- out the day.
Meals are served in either the dining room, on one of the house’s airy verandahs or in the garden under the mango tree.

Sports & Recreation:
Small freshwater swimming pool with deck chairs and sunshades, visits to Galle and its surroundigs can be arranged by the hotel staff. |

Activity:
The Sun House is within walking distance of the centre of Galle and the Galle Fort. Walking around the Fort is the best way to soak in its history and to explore the narrow streets, laneways and historic ramparts. Also available is our restored vintage Rover. |

The Sun House is at 4 hour drive south from the international airport or at 3 hours drive from Colombo. Rather than travelling by road why not transfer directly from your international flight onto Sri Lankan Airlines Air Taxi and arrive at Koggala airport in 30 min. from which it is only at 15 min drive to The Dutch House.- It is the ideal way to travel in style, comfort and luxury at an affordable price.
