The key feature of this most enjoyable walk occurs at a view point which affords the magnificent spectacle of a series of mountain ridges which resemble a `sleeping lady'. The Walk then continues to the Village of Baan Tham which features a Cave and a very old Chedi (burial chamber). There are also wild monkeys, fish and other animals to be seen.. After a short break, the climb begins at the village of Ban Jong and continues to Ban Tham which has a beautiful lake surrounded by raw jungle at the side of which is a rustic restaurant where lunch is provided. The sensation of utter peace and quiet in this jungle clearing will remain in one's memory indefinitely!

The Golden Triangle Walk
(09.00 h to about 17.00 hr)

This Walk is conducted at an easy going pace with the first break at the village of Rong Kho! The onwards to the village of Muai Khari and along the way there are very beautiful distant views of mountains and a variety of terrain all of which changes colour with the seasons. Lunch is provided et Sopruak Village and amongst the many interesting things to be seen are: grazing pastures, rice fields, buffalos and authentic Hill Tribe Village. Finally the Walk arrives at Chiang Saen where the mystical Mekong River comes into view and soon there is a local restaurant where weary walkers can relax with a cold drink. Afterwards there are interesting views across the River of Laos and the `long shaft' boats crossing to and fro

The Eco Paradise Walk
(09.00 h to about 17.00 hr)

This Walk is also conducted at a leisurely pace so that everyone has ample time to admire the pristine countryside, splendid examples of untouched raw jungle and the absolutely authentic Tribal Villages such as Ban Pasangnoi which are not included in `conventional package tours'. There are lychee orchards, vegetable farms and tea plantations and splendid vistas of the surrounding jungle as well as many small lakes and streams. At midday the Walk pauses for lunch at the village of Fai at a village restaurant located in a small and very beautiful forest clearing. The Walk concludes with a visit to an entrepreneurial factory outlet where coffee, fabrics and carpets are all processed and available for purchase
